Rosebud & District Centennial Museum

We aim to tell the story of Rosebud through its interactions with Indigenous people, the struggles faced by early settlers, as well as the pleasures and dangers associated with cattle ranching. Here you can explore the champions in the Chuckwagon races at the Calgary Stampede; view watercolour paintings and sketches created by W. Ray Salt for his work on “The Original Birds of Alberta”; see our extensive collection of over one thousand saltshakers and pepper mills; examine vintage farm equipment and much more! With over 3,300 square feet dedicated to photographs and artefacts, we also offer access to a reference library featuring regional historical texts alongside scanning facilities – plus there’s always something new happening here like playing crib or crokinole games, not forgetting about that ever evolving jigsaw puzzle too! The facility is wheelchair accessible and features restrooms suitable for families. Enjoy free parking, browse items available within our gift shop which includes refreshments and light bites while sitting outdoors under the open sky - all this accompanied by admission via voluntary donations. To learn even more discover our self-guided walking tour route around town or book your private group visit both indoors and out simply call us directly (or send SMS) +1(403)-820-2870 or email info@rosebud.museum today.
