This area has notably colder weather conditions, often dropping close to freezing levels during winter months (December–January). You will also get to witness twin pagodas—dedicated to King Rama V and Queen Suvannavongsa—built atop opposite peaks within the park. Along your journey, you can explore villages belonging to both the Hmong and Karen hill tribes, gaining insight into their unique cultures preserved under Royal Project initiatives. Established in 1972, this national park spans an impressive 482 sq km and reaches elevations of 2,565m above sea level. As part of our tour, enjoy a leisurely walk along a scenic nature trail that leads to the very top point in all of Thailand. After exploring, refuel with a delicious Thai set meal before continuing onward. On route back towards Chiang Mai, marvel at the stunning scenery around the **Wachirathan Waterfall**. On our journey we will pass by several hmong communities along side karen tribesmen who live according to Royal Project schemes that help preserve local cultures while providing them sustainable livelihoods. Doy Intanon was established back in 1972 covering an expanse of approximately 482 sq km stretching upwards towards elevations ranging between sea level till maximum altitude of around 2,565 metres above mean sea level . The weather conditions tend to get very cold especially within these higher altitudes where temperature can drop close to near frozen state particularly noticeable over December–January periods when visiting this place.
