Itinerary: Breakfast in the morning at hotel depart at 8am, driving south side huaraz, at 25km we will visit Recuay province at 3300masl, and continue to Ticampampa 3400masl, Catac 3500masl, continue to Pachacoto from here we will turn east side by unpaved road wonderful landscape of highlands full of straw and cold wind, traditional with sheep herders, after 15km from highway we will stop next to small lake called patococha for birdswatching wild ducks, andean goose caracara birds and others, then the next stop will be at Gasified water stream drinkable gasified water flowing underground, then continue to next stop at enormous flowers of PuyaRaymondi, and changing colour small lake at pumapampa changing color is effect of radiation of the sun and mineral containing rocky inside the water, continue to petroglyph paints, then after few km aprox 10 we will arrive to Pastoruri parking place, from here to get the Ice Mountain is about 1km, you can make easy hiking or horseback ride to get the snow mountain of Pastoruri, once here you will enjoy walking around and visit the Iced Lake and Ice cave, after few hours of staying in Pastoruri back the same way drive direct to Huaraz arriving around 6pm.
Itinerary Breakfast at hotel; departure at 8 am from First Class Huaraz office, headed to the millennial archaeological capital of Chavín de Huántar, passing through typical Recuay villages, Ticapampa, Catac, visiting Lake Querococha at 3,980 meters above sea level, photo stop of the beautiful landscapes, continuing to the highest pass of Túnel de Cahuish at 4,500 masl, an important point for hydrological division where the western waters flow towards the Pacific Ocean and eastern waters towards the Atlantic Ocean, continuing along the banks of the Mosna River arriving at the Chavín Archaeological Site, the ruins are located next to the modern district of Chavín, at 1 pm followed immediately by a guided visit to the Chavín Castle, lasting approximately two hours, within the ruins you will visit numerous labyrinthine rooms and in one of the main buildings is the Lanzón de Chavín, a large stone carving remnant of the pre-Inca god, many places and things to see and observe, such as plazas, cavezas clavas (stone heads), main porch, and more, concluding in the modern museum that houses the remnants of the Chavín culture, afterwards we proceed to a smaller museum for a self-guided visit lasting about one hour, afterward finishing with a guided tour around, heading to a restaurant for lunch and returning to Huaraz around 4 pm, then departing for a nonstop drive back to Huaraz for approximately three hours via the same route, arriving around 7 pm directly to our bus station in Huaraz.
Llanganuco Departure at 8:30 am (pickups last approximately 40 min from different hotels) from our office in Huaraz; this tour goes to Llanganuco lakes that are situated among two peaks called Huascarán y Huandoy. The trip begins in Huaraz going towards the northern area through many towns stopping off in some locations like carhuaz along the route you will have beautiful landscapes including mountain ranges known as White Mountains, also named after huandoy, huascaran, hualcán copa amongst other names. You can stop taking photos during your journey from numerous viewpoints enroute. Continue driving until reaching yungay where there's an old town but please note prior arrangement must be made with the tourist guide depending upon weather conditions so they may decide whether visiting happens in the mornings or afternoons & would roughly take approx one hr time frame thereafter begin climbing upwards via dirt track roads leading all the way till llanganuco lake arrival expected before midday - sightseeing duration aprox half an hour/forty mins returning again down passing chinacocha lagoon offering optional leisure activity options available i.e., boating using little vessels afterwards proceed walking roundabout finally headbackwards toward rural traditional local eatery enjoying dinner independently afterward travel backwards similar path taken earlier leaving behind yungay followed by onward movement headed straightway zurück nach Huaraz ending day’s excursion within evening hours precisely when everyone arrives safely home base location ie Our Office By Around Evening Time At Approximately Seven O Clock P.M..
Lake 69 (1 day) Distance: 6 km Altitude: 3900m to 4600m Rating: Moderate Lake 69 is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Cordillera Blanca and has gained popularity due to its easy access, requiring only a day of hiking. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking mountain views. **Itinerary:** Morning breakfast at your hotel in Huaraz; our guide and shuttle will pick you up around 5 AM and drive to the starting point of the hike at Cebollapampa—a journey that takes approximately three hours. The hike begins on a moderately sloped path for about three hours until you reach Lake 69. Once there, you’ll have ample time to explore its stunning beauty and capture unforgettable photos. Stroll around the lake to fully appreciate its surroundings. After an hour, retrace your steps back to Cebollapampa and board the shuttle returning to Huaraz, arriving around 7 PM.
