“DMM. Planets Art by TeamLab” was first held in Odaiba in 2016 and later expanded to open in Shin-Toyosu, with an original exhibition period set from July 7, 2018, through the end of 2020. The exhibit consists of four large-scale artwork spaces and two gardens created by the art collective teamLab. By fully immersing oneself along with others within these vast “Body Immersive” artworks, the line separating one’s own body from that of another is dissolved; the borders between the individual, others, and the surrounding environment merge together continuously as if they were part of each other; thus exploring our relationships anew—without any barriers or limitations imposed upon us by society.
