Route Overview  The Lemosho route is one of the best routes for acclimatisation. It’s a lesser trodden path with stunning views all the way up onto the Shira plateau.   It's also one of the only trails that can have rangers (armed) accompanying parties during their trek on Day One because there are buffalos, elephants and some wild animals living within these forest areas at Lemsho glades.   Minimum trekking period via this trail would normally take six full days but it highly recommended taking seven whole days here so climbers get enough extra time needed to properly adjust themselves physically due to high altitudes which reduces chances getting severe mountain sickness or acute mountain sickness; plus gives them ample resting hours prior making final push towards Uhuru peak/summit climb.   Trip summary details :   Total climbing trip takes about Seven Full Climbing Days & Two nights stay over night accommodation provided inside hotel located near town called Moshi Itinerary plan below follows like this format ; Moshi–1st camp(Mti mkubwa)–Camp site two shira–Barranco campsite—Karanga camping area--Barafu Camping Area --Mweka campground---Back again back home through moshi city . Lemosho Route 7 Days (6 nights on the mountain, 2 nights in hotel) Route Overview The Lemosho route is one of the best routes for acclimatization. It’s a lesser-used trail with stunning views leading up to the Shira Plateau. This is one of the few trails where groups can be accompanied on the first day by an armed ranger because the forests surrounding the Lemosho glades are home to buffaloes, elephants, and other wildlife. While the minimum trekking period for this route is six days, we highly suggest taking seven days.
