Cat Ba Kayak Adventures is a full-service sea kayak adventure tour company based in Cat Ba Island, Vietnam. Born by the sea, living for adventure, ready to explore. Our guided kayak tours provide an alternative, easy-to-learn, low impact but still active way to discover the tranquil waters of Halong Bay. The sit-on-top kayaks used are stable, efficient and highly seaworthy vessels offering a great way to enjoy the beauty of Cat Ba Island, Bai Tu Long Bay as well as visiting this Unesco World Heritage Site. We care about our surroundings and community; therefore all trips use locally sourced produce where possible reducing our carbon footprint while engaging with the very same locals who have welcomed us over many years.

CB 020 - 2 Days -1 Night: Kayaking – Overnight at Floating homestay in Lan Ha Bay.

Day 1: Hanoi - Cat Ba Island - Lan Ha Bay. 7:00-7:30 am: Pickup from your hotel in Hanoi for travel to Hai Phong City, the largest port in Red River Delta. The bus ride along the highway offers great views of rice paddies and local villages. 10:00 am: Arrival at Ben Got Harbor followed by boarding a speedboat bound for Cat Ba Island. A short but delightful 5-minute speedboat ride takes us to Cai Vieng within Cat Ba, offering stunning ocean vistas and glimpses of the lush jungles that make up Cat Ba National Park. From there, continue with an additional bus ride to reach Cat Ba Town. 11:20 am: Upon arrival at Bến Bèo Pier in Cat Ba Town, one of our representatives will greet you before transferring you to a unique Floating Homestay located in a picturesque fishing village. Check-in to enjoy privacy in your personal accommodation. Lunch features traditional Vietnamese cuisine; afterward, receive a brief orientation about today's activities. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring via kayak around the charming floating fisherfolk community—home to numerous residents who both reside here and earn their living off the water. Kayak past scenic spots like Lan Ha Bay until reaching Tay Keo Lagoon. Weather conditions allowing, venture further inland towards the famous Ba Do Cave (also known as "Red Lady") using your kayak skills, after which head back outside to discover untouched shorelines surrounded by tranquil lagunes. Enjoy some free time lounging on isolated stretches of sand while taking dips in crystal clear waters. Plenty of opportunities arise en route to swim freely, relax leisurelyly, or simply soak in breathtaking surroundings during transit. As evening approaches, slowly navigate amidst captivating landscapes leading back to the serene atmosphere surrounding the Floating Homestay accommodations. Our fleet consists of both singles and doubles that are properly maintained and ready for use. 08:00 am: Pick up service provided directly from your accommodation located within central Cat Ba Town area and transferred by vehicle to Ben Beo Wharf. 08:30am: Learn some essential techniques and directions with guidance from one of our qualified instructors before grabbing hold of those paddles yourself! You will be able to create your own wake while exploring through various lagoon inlets, cave passages, serene village settlements along waterways leading onto isolated beach areas.
