Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National Park Your private driver-guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel, residence, or the airport, followed by a brief safari briefing before departure. Embark on a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley, with photo stops along the way and a visit to the Rift Valley viewpoint to admire the dramatic escarpment stretching from the Red Sea to southern Africa. Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park in time for lunch, then embark on an afternoon game drive along the shores of the alkaline lake. The park is famous for its successful rhino sanctuary and diverse wildlife. Keep an eye out for black and white rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, lions, leopards, buffaloes, warthogs, and baboons.
