Valerie Strassberg

I am a Vienna-based cultural storyteller, actor, guide, author of articles about Vienna, trainer and member of the examination board for the qualification examination for the next generation of tourist guides. I regularly attend training sessions at the Vienna Guide Academy myself. I transform Vienna's streets, palaces, and museums into living stories - where literature, music, and art become part of your personal journey. With a BA in Theatre Studies, a background as a trained actor and comedian, and a family management degree, I bring a unique blend of academic insight, theatrical charm, and warm hospitality to every experience. With roots in both France and Austria, I embody the historic Bourbon-Habsburg heritage: a passion for culture, a talent for languages, and an appreciation for the extraordinary. Speaking fluently in German, French, English, Spanish, and Italian, I will guide you through Vienna's wonders using the language most comfortable for you. Why choose my tours? *Literary and Artistic Expertise*: From the writings of Schnitzler and Hofmannsthal to the masterworks by Klimt and Schiele, I uncover the tales hidden within the artwork, music, and literature that have defined Vienna. *Exclusive Access*: My guided visits include entry to all main collection areas and museum sites such as the Art History Museum (Kunsthistorisches Museum), The Albertina, Belvederes, Hofburg palace complex, and Schonbrunn Palace – providing insider knowledge not found on any tour brochure. Please note: some attractions, like the imperial apartments inside the Hofburg or the grand tour around Schoenbrunn may need advance booking; let's make sure we book well before our visit!
