CABLE CAR TOUR & CROATIAN WAR OF INDEPENDENCE 1991–1992 (Spanish-Language Guided Tour)

We start our excursion with a cable car ride up to the panoramic view point at Mount Srdj, where we'll visit Fortress Imperial and the museum dedicated to the Croatian war of independence. In 1991 when Croatia voted for independence, they came under attack from Yugoslavia army. In their assaults on Dubrovnik during both 1991 and 1992 ,as part of wider campaign across Croatia, Yugoslavian troops showed no regard for UNESCO protection afforded to old town area within Dubrovnik walls; instead proceeding to methodically bombard entire city district. The historic street network along with many civic structures including residential properties and places of worship suffered extensive damage throughout these attacks. This guided walking tour explores just that -how Dubrovnik was targeted ;the methods used by local residents to defend themselves;and ultimately –their survival through terror & devastation . From atop mount Srdj visitors can take pleasure in stunning vistas overlooking fortified settlement together with surrounding countryside areas. Please note :cable car ticket costs plus entry fees applicable to aforementioned military fortress/museum site aren't covered or provided here.

Discover Dubrovnik, one of the most stunning medieval cities in the Mediterranean and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, on an engaging Spanish-language walking tour designed to bring the city’s history and culture to life. Starting at the iconic Pile Gate, we will stroll along the elegant main street, the famous Stradun, and explore Dubrovnik’s most important landmarks and hidden corners. Highlights include the Franciscan Monastery (dating back to 1317 and home to one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe), the Large and Small Onofrio Fountains, Sponza Palace — the former customs house — Orlando’s Column, and the Church of St. Blaise (patron saint of the city). We will also visit the Rector’s Palace, once the seat of the Republic, the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, the charming St. Mary’s Quarter — the oldest part of the city — the impressive Jesuit complex with the Baroque Church of St. Ignatius, the historic Jewish Quarter, and the Dominican Monastic Complex. Our walk continues to the Old Port, where you can admire the Fortresses of St. John and Revelin, as well as the historic Arsenal. We will also explore Od Puca Street, known for its traditional goldsmith shops — reflecting the region’s long-standing connection to gold, silver craftsmanship, and maritime heritage — along with many other fascinating and meaningful sites.
