Picnic lunch with a unique view over Assisi, bottle of wine of your choice. Picnic in the Vineyards Deluxe is one of our most popular packages that combines visiting Assisi with enjoying some typical food products made in Umbria. Duration approx.: 2 h First you'll be welcomed at the cellar or outside area; here we introduce ourselves presenting Saio Winery & Wines. Then there follows a guide who leads you during a degustation tour among five different types of wines while giving explanations related to each product tasted. You'll get a small booklet indicating all trails within the vineyard together with useful info regarding every single vine variety found around these pathways. After this short presentation, just take a pleasant fifteen minutes stroll between rows upon rows of vines until reaching the little wooden gazebo built inside the estate called "Saio Pavilion". Longer walks may be chosen if desired. Along the path enjoy breathtaking views overlooking not only Assisi but also towards Perugia and S.Maria Degli Angeli. Lunch then takes place under the shade provided by large trees surrounding us. This itinerary suits both adults and children alike because its difficulty level remains very low throughout.
