Day 1 - Transfer to the Lodge - Discover the Amazon River
If arriving by plane, your guide will meet you directly at the airport upon arrival. If staying overnight in Iquitos, pickup will be at 8:00 AM (exact timing will be confirmed the previous day). Transfer from Iquitos to Nauta. Embark on an exciting journey, discovering landscapes, villages, and the bridge over the Itaya River. Navigate aboard a traditional boat, passing by the confluence of the Amazon, Marañón, and Ucayali Rivers, where there’s a chance to spot grey and pink river dolphins in their natural habitat. Continue along the Yarapa and Cumaceba streams until reaching the lodge, situated within the buffer zone of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Enjoy a typical Amazonian lunch featuring fresh seasonal fruits, followed in the afternoon by a canoe excursion to observe birds, monkeys, and sloths. At nightfall, after dinner, immerse yourself in the magical world of nocturnal life during a guided nighttime walk to explore insects, frogs, tarantulas, and the distinctive sounds of the jungle.
Day 2 - Full Immersion in the Amazon
After breakfast at the lodge, set out on a captivating trek through the reserve—a carefully planned itinerary that allows for deep immersion in nature. En route, encounter diverse bird and monkey species, accompanied by insightful commentary about the region’s flora and fauna.
