During the Island Tour, you will learn about the history and culture of Roatán while driving through various neighborhoods and communities on the island. First, we’ll visit one of Roatán's highest vantage points, offering a bird’s eye view of the entire island. There, you can take photos or shop for souvenirs. Next, we’ll make a brief trip to the Zipline Park. Upon arrival, you’ll receive equipment to zip line across Roatán’s jungle canopy via 13 separate cables. Afterward, we’ll stroll through the Monkey & Sloth Sanctuary, giving you an opportunity to observe these animals closely and even snap photographs with them before interacting with Capuchin monkeys. Then, we’ll proceed to West End Beach and pay a quick visit to the Roatán Chocolate Factory, sampling fifteen varieties of handmade chocolates—compliments of the house! Following that, prepare yourself for snorkelling; the vessel will collect us right outside the aforementioned establishment. All necessary diving gear provided, including guidance underwater ensuring everyone has a fantastic time exploring beneath the waves. Look forward to witnessing firsthand what many consider the world’s second most extensive coral barrier system alongside its diverse array of fish species and other fascinating sea creatures. Please remember to pack towels – they always come in handy after such activities! Back aboard and refreshed, we shall resume our journey overland towards new adventures. As luck would have it, West End happens to offer several excellent dining options too. Should you wish to grab lunch during our break, I am happy to recommend suitable spots within walking distance allowing you to soak up the atmosphere whilst enjoying fresh seafood accompanied by refreshing breezes off the Caribbean Sea.
